The EVD project is carried out by Euroscience in co-operation with the Library of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht University. It aims to make available the bibliographical information of the European Veterinary Dissertations. At this moment the EVD database contains the bibliographic data of 17.044 dissertations defended at 33 European Veterinary Faculties from 1984 onward.
Included are: author, title, year of award, number of pages, university (including its address) and starting at 1997 also keywords (mainly based on the CAB thesaurus). Before 1997, the keywords field only contains the most important (groups of) animal species being: birds, cats, cattle, dogs, fishes, goats, horses, mice, pigs, rabbits, rats, and sheep.
Field 38 of 3919 records (dissertations) contains a clickable URL-address referring to the fulltext (427 x) or abstract (3492 x) of the dissertation on Internet.
EVD on Internet will be regularly updated, including addition of more URL-addresses.
The 3919 records with an URL-address can be found by searching on the keyword "URL".
The 427 records with an URL-address referring to the fulltext can be found by searching on the keyword "URL-fulltext" and the 3492 records referring to the abstract by searching on the keyword "URL-abstract".
Of course the above mentioned search possibilities can be combined with other search strategies.
